Kristin was fortunate enough to be born on Cape Cod and spend every summer in Brewster with her family as her father was involved with the Cape Cod Sea Camps. She has spent the past 25 years raising 3 daughters with her husband, allowing for a slight delay in pursuing her passion of painting and writing.
Study
Kristin longs for the summer and her time around The National Seashore, Cape Cod Bay and Nantucket Sound. Staring into the horizon helps one slow down a bit and get a little lost. It is all about color and structure. Really, color first and foremost. The color is what you see first and what wants you to take a closer look, to think about how you see the horizons. Using different blues is not by accident. Different bodies of water hold different meanings for many, and each painting is hopefully a reminder of a place that is special to them.
